Gmail may be an excellent Web-based email application, but there is no easy way to use it with privacy tools like GnuPG. The FireGPG extension for Firefox is designed to solve this problem. It integrates nicely into Gmail's interface and allows you to sign and encrypt not only email messages but also text snippets from any Web page.

On Sunday's episode of The Sopranos, the Italians shoot a man they have mistaken for New York boss Phil Leotardo. Later, Bobby Bacala is killed at the model-train store. Both times, the killers drop their guns at the scene of the crime. As Clemenza says in The Godfather "Leave the gun, take the cannoli." How come mafia hit men always drop the guns?

Since August eyeOS has been completely rewritten and redesigned; however eyeOS is still an Open Source project, under the GPL license. Eduardo told Read/WriteWeb today that "the importance of eyeOS 1.0 isn't in its look or in its apps, but in its core."

A U.S. astronomer has traced the origins of a set of ancient clay tablets made in Babylon around 687 BC. The tablets, showing constellations thought to be precursors of the present-day zodiac, are now confirmed to be based on much earlier observations made by Assyrian astronomers around 1,370 BC.

We just received word that Michael Moore will appear on Oprah on Tuesday June 5th where he will present scenes from his new film, Sicko. And get this â€" the theme of Oprah’s show is “The one film you must see this this summer”. Apparently, Oprah loved Michael’s film and wants to make health care for all one of her main missions this year.
