Just why is it that the ATI 2900XT is out performed by its equivalent GeForce 8 series counterpart in most gaming benchmarks but in an Unreal Engine 3 based benchmark it out performs the highend nVidia 8800GTX by a significant margin?

Nice column talking about why Windows will be doomed if it doesn't go open source. Reasons: the Internet, Web 2.0 and the open source movement. Gives Windows about 10 years before it meets its demise. Really great argument for open source. But the real question is: will it ever happen?

I am trying to stress test my server to see how much load it can take. I recently tried a decent amount of optimization through php-cache, mysql-cache, eaccelarator, apache optimization and so on and so forth. I wanted to generate a real-life stress scenario. If you think this is some kind of ploy to get some traffic, feel free not to click it.

We don't have a lot of details, but some "hackers" have found an exploit in the Wii Internet Channel's Flash player implementation. What does this mean to you? Well, if they take this exploit all the way to the end, it means you can possibly run unsigned, home-brew code on the Wii.
