Here's a video of Lockheed Martin's MULE advanced robotic vehicle in action, complete with Joes and baddies shooting at each other while the MULE fires its machine gun, fires rockets to an enemy tank and pinpoints targets for ballistic missiles. It gives you a good idea of what this amazing machine would do in real-life missions, A-Team style.

Google Maps mashup Phone Number Geolocator takes the first six digits of a phone number (the area code plus 3) and gives you a close approximation of that number's origin on a Google map. Google has been helping us locate area codes for a while now, but some area codes cover pretty large areas. The Phone Number Geolocator goes one step further.

Guy bought US iPhone, removed AT&T SIM, put it in old cell phone, took it to Vodafone store and added it to his contract (replacing phone currently on the contract & using the AT&T SIM). He then took it home, popped the SIM, put it back in iPhone, used iASign to activate. Results: UK Phone number, Vodafone contract. May possibly work in any country

The US has ritualistic levels of tip etiquette, which admittedly don't exist other places in the world but, the question remains; Why don't we tip our IT service people?

The Patent Reform Act of 2007 may be headed to a vote by the full House of Representatives after a modified version of the bill was approved by the Judiciary Committee. The bill would, among other things, change the US to a first-to-invent patent system from its current first-to-file system.
