A lawyer recently threatened a blogger who merely linked to a post on DLS about the RIAA's coercive and unfairly litigious approach to copyright infringement. Grant Robertson, lead blogger for Download Squad, responds to this lawyer in an open letter that is elegant, to-the-point, and-- dare I say?-- dead-nuts accurate. GREAT read!

Earlier this week, a Daycare Center in Buffalo was closed because six children at a local daycare center were given heroin by another student who thought it was candy. Teachers quickly learned the child was actually doling out heroin and called police immediately.

Grant Collier and the team over at Infinity Ward are hard at work on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. At one point along the way they were contacted by Microsoft, who attempted to spur the inclusion of LIVE Anywhere support in the multi-platform title. Infinity Ward "actively rejected" this offer. Here's my second app for the iPhone... instant messaging. Its still a little rough, but check it out. Its server intensive, so I'm limiting sessions to 10 minutes for now. Source is available, though its a little tricky to configure.

For the true TV Junkie, DirecTV had worked out a deal with WNBC in NY that is allowing certain zip codes in LA the ability to get the east coast channel for just $6 a month. A violation of the "must carry" law? Ehhhhh. Let's go watch SNL 3 hours early!
