Apple is poised to deliver its third Mac revision in less than a month next week when the company takes the wraps off its new iMac line. Sources with reliable track records report the new iMac, wrapped in a brushed aluminum enclosure, is currently tracking for release at or around Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference on June 11.

Two senators have proposed an amendment that would restrict companies from hiring more foreign workers if they are planning "mass layoffs" that will reduce the US workforce. Such an amendment could affect a number of big tech companies that are still pushing for an increased H-1B cap.

While robots certainly come in many shapes and sizes, they tend to be, by and large, masculine. Seeing the lack of representation of the fairer sex, Tomotaka Takahashi took on the task of creating a robot that didn't just look female, but moved in a feminine way as well. Thus the FT (female type) robot was born.

Bud Selig dropped this ultimatum on Jason Giambi yesterday - 'Fess up or else. The baseball commissioner issued a statement late yesterday afternoon that he had requested Giambi to cooperate with George Mitchell's probe into steroid use in baseball within two weeks. If he doesn't, the Yankees slugger could face disciplinary action from Selig.

Marine scientists in Canada and abroad are puzzled by bizarre photographs that appear to show the skeleton of a large mammal jutting out of an iceberg that recently drifted past Newfoundland's east coast. The six pictures show what looks like a brown rib cage and spinal column, slightly bent, sticking out of a crust of ice.
