Researchers at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) have developed an inexpensive solar cell that can be painted or printed on flexible plastic sheets. "The process is simple... someday homeowners will even be able to print sheets of these solar cells with inexpensive home-based inkjet printers, " said researcher Somenath Mitra, Ph.D.

Too Human developer Silicon Knights has filed a lawsuit against Unreal Engine 3 developer Epic Games, claiming Epic failed to deliver the engine on time and live up to contractual support obligations to UE3 licensees. Silicon Knights has apparently now created its own UE3-derived "Silicon Knights Engine," and is demanding damages from Epic.

Our list today will look at the top 10 apps for utility. These are apps that are in some way useful. This was a pretty broad list, and probably took us the longest to cut down to a top ten. As a result, we were unfortunately forced to leave off a lot of good apps. This is a completely subjective list, so not everyone will agree with our picks.
